PMBI INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES: DATES, NEW VENUES & PRICES
Stoked on last year’s success and rider feedback from these courses, we’ll be offering more dates and venues for this season… all at a new, reduced price. Times are hard for everyone at the moment and we want to make sure these industry leading courses remain good value and attainable to as many people as possible. These courses cover modern riding skills and techniques and train you how to analyze, teach and demonstrate them to others in the safest, most effective ways possible, according to the different skills and maneuvers within the sport.
For 2009, we’re very happy to announce a new venue and partnership with Silver Star Bike Park where we’ll be running both the PMBI (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor) Level 1 and 2 courses. Silver Stars’ trails are world-class and we reckon an incredible biking destination, so being able to offer these courses at one of our favorite riding spots is awesome. Confirmed PMBI course dates so far this season are:
WHISTLER
Level 1: June 5-7th, 12-14th, 19-21st
SILVER STAR
Level 1: July 2-4th
Level 2: July 1-4th
Go to www.zeptechniques.com for prices and details and/or email info@zeptechniques.com to confirm your place on a course.
BASECAMP MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMPS
Last season saw ZEPtechniques partner up with the UK-based Adventure Training Specialists company, BaseCamp Group, to offer the industries premier, multi-week mountain bike camps in Whistler, B.C. Following the success of 2008, we’ll again be offering more camps and options for 2009:

4 week camps starting June 27th, and Aug 1st
2 week camps starting June 27th, July 11th and Aug 1st
INSTRUCTOR TRAINING CAMPS 4 weeks only:
Starting June 27th and Aug 1st
These camps offer an unparalleled mountain bike experience, with professional coaching and guiding in both downhill and x-country disciplines… not only giving you the best mountain bike experience of a life-time, but also a much more effective and progressive environment in which to improve your skills. PRO-DEAL PROGRAM & INDUSTRY DISCOUNTS
Also new for 2009 is our partnership with MRP we’ll be running their ‘guides on our coaches bikes and are proud to introduce the ZEP-MRP Pro-Deal Program, available exclusively to our PMBI Instructor Training and BaseCamp clients. Those riders that either successfully pass a PMBI Course or attend one of the multi-week BaseCamp Rider Improvement or Instructor Training Camps, will each get an “MRP Pro-Deal Form” – giving them BIG discounts on any MRP product they order. This is to help encourage riders into the MTB Instruction Industry, as the expansion of Bike Parks and their MTB Schools continues to grow year after year.
We're also pleased to be offering any WORCA, CASI or CSIA member, a 10% discount on any ZEP Skill Clinic or PMBI Instructor Training Course in 2009.
NEW SPONSORS 661 & Royal Racing
We’ve just built up our new Specialized bikes for 2009, complete with our customized Straitline Bar Plugs with our company logo laser-etched into them… always nice to have a little bling! Any day now, our new ZEP Team Kits should be here too – 661 and Royal Racing are hooking our coaches up with some top-notch riding kits this season. We’ve been using the 661 pads and gloves for years, so we’re stoked to take it a step further and be kitted out head to toe. Simply put, without all our sponsors backing and support, we wouldn't be here today... so thanks guys!
That’s it for now... happy, safe riding people.

A quick buck? These guys have obviously put a ton of thought into their program design and progression, and considering the ridiculous amount of behind the scenes work that goes into it I don't know if developing and marketing a business to a niche market can ever be called a "quick buck". The industry needs something close to a standard in this sense and it's good to see these guys taking steps to make that happen.
Hope to see you guys at Silverstar or in Calgary later this summer.

Your so right, coaching well is a actually a very very tough job, espectially considering you have to adapt to each individuals needs and be able to teach them. As a coach I can say that, and I only coach young kids.
I would really like to take the four week course, not sure of the price though... if not Ill take the 2day. Do the 2day and 4week come with the same qualifications?
